Μία εβδομάδα μετά το τραγικό συμβάν στην συναυλία των MORBID ANGEL στο Illinois το οποίο στοίχισε την ζωή σε έναν θεατή, 3 από τους τραυματίες περιγράφουν το τι ακριβώς συνέβη κατά την κατάρρευση της οροφής, καθώς και το τι ακολούθησε.
“Δεν ξέρω καν πώς τα κατάφερα. Μόλις αισθάνθηκα πόνο και άρχισα να φωνάζω για βοήθεια, είπα ότι υπάρχει ακόμα μια πιθανότητα να τα καταφέρω. Ήμουν μπροστά αριστερά στο κέντρο της σκηνής, οπότε ακριβώς εκεί που έπεσε το κύριο μέρος του κτιρίου, ήμουν ακριβώς εκεί. Αμέσως μετά έπεσε πάνω μου και έσβησα”, δήλωσε ο Dylan Crone.
“Αισθάνθηκα όλο αυτό το βαρύ πράγμα στο σώμα μου, στα πόδια μου, στο κεφάλι μου. Όταν συνειδητοποιείς μέρες μετά, και βλέπεις ότι, φίλε, ήταν δίπλα μου”, αναφέρει ο Paul Rojas, ο οποίος βρισκόταν δίπλα στον θανόντα Fred Livingston Jr και τον γιο του.
“Θυμάμαι ότι πήγα να γυρίσω για να φύγω και κάτι με χτύπησε στο κεφάλι και το επόμενο πράγμα που θυμάμαι είναι ότι ήμουν αναίσθητη. Και, το τελευταίο πράγμα που θυμάμαι ήταν ένας νοσοκόμος να με μαζεύει και να με πηγαίνει στο ασθενοφόρο” δήλωσε η Victoria Bella που ήταν στην πρώτη σειρά, μπροστά ακριβώς από την σκηνή.
Θυμίζουμε ότι το σύμφωνα με τις επίσημες αναφορές, η κατάρρευση της οροφής του Apollo Theater προκλήθηκε από τους θυελλώδεις ανέμους εντάσεων 90mph που έπνεαν στην περιοχή λόγω καταιγίδας.

“I don’t even know how I made it out. As soon as I felt pain and started yelling for help, I said there was still a chance that I can make it through this. I was in front left center of the stage, so right where the main part of the building fell, I was right there. It just immediately crashed on me, and I was out like light”,Dylan Crone said.
“I feel the whole, heavy things in my body, my legs, my head. When you realize days after, and see that, man, he was next to me”,reports Paul Rojas, who was standing next to the deceased Fred Livingston Jr. and his son.
“I remember going to turn to run away and something hit me in the head, and the next thing I knew I was unconscious. And, the last thing I remember was a paramedic scooping me up and taking me to an ambulance” said Victoria Bella who was in the front row, right in front of the stage.
According to official reports, the collapse of the Apollo Theater’s roof was caused by 90mph winds blowing in the area due to a storm.
