DEVIL’S TRAIN – ASHES AND BONES (ROAR ROCK OF ANGELS RECORDS)

Προσωπικά τον Roberto Δημήτρη Λιαπάκη τον παρακολουθώ χρόνια τώρα, σε όλες τις μπάντες που πρωτοστατεί όπως τους DEVIL’S TRAIN, MYSTIC PROPHECY και τους STEEL PROPHET. Ιδανική φωνή, με τεράστια ενέργεια, δίνει την ευρωπαϊκή απάντηση στους BLACK LABEL SOCIETY και τους BLACK STONE CHERRY με το νέο άλμπουμ των DEVIL’S TRAIN, Ashes & Bones, από την Rock Of Angels Records.

Ο δίσκος μας προσφέρει 11 καινούρια κομμάτια και μια διασκευή του κλασσικού κομματιού των CAMEO,  Word Up. Είχα να ακούσω μια τόσο δυνατή διασκευή από την εποχή που το είχαν διασκευάσει οι KORN. Θα τολμούσα  να πω ότι αυτή η βελτιωμένη έκδοση μου αρέσει καλύτερα.

Οι κιθάρες είναι σούπερ, με καταπληκτικά σόλο. Τα ντραμς και το μπάσο δίνουν μια σταθερή αξία στο hard rock ύφος και κρατούν το άλμπουμ δυνατό από την αρχή μέχρι το τέλος. Τα έμπειρα και αψεγάδιαστα φωνητικά του R.D. Liapakis ταιριάζουν απόλυτα στο Southern Rock στυλ συνδεδεμένο βέβαια με πιο σύγχρονη ερμηνεία.

Όλο το άλμπουμ είναι γεμάτο από πιασάρικους ρυθμούς με εναλλαγές γρήγορης και πιο smooth κιθάρας. Η τέλεια συνταγή για να ροκάρεις. Σε κάθε τραγούδι αναγκάζεσαι να το βάζεις σε repeat για να το σιγοτραγουδάς. Το τέλειο άλμπουμ για να περάσεις ευχάριστα, ιδιαίτερα αν σου αρέσει το American/ Southern Rock. Κίνδυνος μεγάλων ταχυτήτων αν κάνεις το λάθος και το βάλεις στο αυτοκίνητό σου.

Personally, I have been following Roberto Dimitris Liapakis for years now, in all the bands he leads like DEVIL’S TRAIN, MYSTIC PROPHECY and STEEL PROPHET. Ideal voice, with huge energy, he gives the European answer to BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and BLACK STONE CHERRY with the new album of DEVIL’S TRAIN Ashes & Bones, from Rock Of Angels Records.

The album offers 11 new tracks and a cover of the CAMEO classic – Word Up. I haven’t heard such a strong cover since KORN covered it. I would venture to say that I like this improved version better.

The guitars are super, with amazing solos. The drums and bass give a solid value to the hard rock style and keep the album strong from start to finish. The experienced and flawless vocals of R.D. Liapakis fit perfectly into the Southern Rock style connected of course with more modern interpretation.

The whole album is full of catchy rhythms with alternations of fast and smoother guitar. The perfect recipe for rocking out. On every song you are forced to put it on repeat to hum it. The perfect album to have a good time, especially if you like American/Southern Rock. High speed hazard if you make the mistake of listening to it, in your car.
