Οι SPITFIRE είναι ένα από τα ιστορικότερα συγκροτήματα της Ελληνικής σκηνής που συνεχίζουν να παραμένουν ενεργοί από το 1984. Η τωρινή τους σύνθεση μετράει περίπου 9 χρόνια με τον Τάσο Κροκόδειλο στα φωνητικά. Το Denial to Fall άρχισε να χτίζεται ήδη από τότε. Ωρίμασε μαζί με τη σχέση ανάμεσα στα μέλη και τελικά ήρθε το πλήρωμα του χρόνου να φτάσει στα χέρια μας. Το τρίτο ολοκληρωμένο άλμπουμ των Αθηναίων heavy metallers κυκλοφορεί 21 Ιανουαρίου 2022 από τη No Remorse Records.
Οι συνθέσεις του Denial To Fall βασίζονται σε κλασσικές φόρμες συγκροτημάτων όπως οι ACCEPT, JUDAS PRIEST αλλά και κάποιες πιο σύγχρονες πινελιές. Ειδικά στο Many Lies κάνουν ηχητικά τη βόλτα τους από το Load των METALLICA και ο Τάσος ακούγεται γνήσιος James. Σε τραγούδια σαν το Naked Fire και On My Own δίνουν τη συνέχεια σε ύμνους όπως το Lead Me On και Fool Enough ενώ με τραγούδια όπως το Wasted, Denial To Fall, Ready To Attack θα ικανοποιήσουνε απόλυτα τους οπαδούς του γνήσιου, “ορθόδοξου” heavy metal. Το συγκρότημα είχε προγραμματίσει και Release Party για την επόμενη της κυκλοφορίας του δίσκου ώστε να έχουν όλοι την ευκαιρία να το ακούσουν και να το αποκτήσουν ωστόσο τα ισχύοντα μέτρα για την εστίαση στη χώρα μας τους ανάγκασαν να το αναβάλλουν.
Η παραγωγή του άλμπουμ είναι μεστή χωρίς να είναι εντελώς μπουσταρισμένη στα άκρα δίνοντας την ευκαιρία στα τραγούδια να αναπνέουν. Τα κιθαριστικά μέρη κινούνται σε εγγυημένες κλασσικές διαδρομές. Όσον αφορά τα φωνητικά, αυτό που μέχρι τώρα ακούγαμε στα live, αποτυπώνεται και στο άλμπουμ. Ο Τάσος είναι η φωνή που ταιριάζει στο συγκρότημα γιατί έχει τα άκρα που χρειάζεται η ερμηνεία του υλικού τους, αλλά και όλες τις ενδιάμεσες συχνότητες.
Συνολικά το Denial To Fall είναι μια ολοκληρωμένη heavy metal κυκλοφορία με τραγούδια που θα κερδίσουν όχι μόνο τους οπαδούς της μπάντας αλλά και τους οπαδούς του heavy γενικότερα. Ας ελπίσουμε πολύ σύντομα να έχουμε τη δυνατότητα να το απολαύσουμε και ζωντανά.

SPITFIRE is one of the most historic bands on the Greek scene that continues to be active since 1984. Their current lineup is about 9 years old with Tassos Krokodilos on vocals. Denial to Fall has been under construction ever since. It matured along with the relationship between the members and finally it’s in our hands. The third complete album of the Athenian heavy metallers is released on January 21, 2022 by No Remorse Records.
The compositions of Denial To Fall are based on classic forms of bands such as ACCEPT, JUDAS PRIEST but also some more modern touches. Especially in Many Lies, they touch influences from the METALLICA Load and Tassos sounds like Papa Het. In songs like Naked Fire and On My Own they continue what hymns like Lead Me On and Fool Enough started, while with songs like Wasted, Denial To Fall, Ready To Attack they will completely satisfy the fans of the genuine, “true” heavy metal . The band had also planned a Release Party so that everyone has the opportunity to listen it and get it, however, the current measures against covid 19, in our country forced them to postpone it.
The production of the album is mellow without being completely bloated to extremes giving the songs the chance to “breathe”. The guitar parts move along guaranteed classic routes. As for the vocals, what we’ve heard so far in live shows is reflected on the album. Tassos is the voice that best fits the band because he has the extremes that the interpretation of their material needs, but also all the in-between frequencies.
Overall, Denial To Fall is a complete heavy metal release with songs that will win not only the fans of the band but also the fans of heavy in general. Hopefully very soon we will have the opportunity to enjoy it live.
