Το 72 Season πέρα από το ομότιτλο κομμάτι του δίσκου, αποτελεί και το μεγαλύτερο μέχρι στιγμής σε διάρκεια καθώς ξεπερνάει τα 8 λεπτά.

Η κυκλοφορία του 72 Seasons  έχει οριστεί για της 14 Απριλίου.

Παραθέτουμε τι είχε δηλώσει ο James Hetfield σχετικά με τον τίτλο τόσο του κομματιού και κατά συνέπεια του δίσκου:
“72 Seasons,. Τα πρώτα 18 χρόνια της ζωής μας που διαμορφώνουν τον αληθινό ή τον ψεύτικο εαυτό μας. Η έννοια ότι μας είπαν “ποιοι είμαστε” οι γονείς μας. Μια πιθανή κατηγοριοποίηση γύρω από το τι είδους προσωπικότητα είμαστε. Νομίζω ότι το πιο ενδιαφέρον κομμάτι είναι η συνεχής μελέτη αυτών των βασικών πεποιθήσεων και πώς επηρεάζουν την αντίληψή μας για τον κόσμο σήμερα. Μεγάλο μέρος της ενήλικης εμπειρίας μας είναι αναπαράσταση ή αντίδραση σε αυτές τις παιδικές εμπειρίες. Φυλακισμένοι της παιδικής ηλικίας ή απελευθέρωση από αυτά τα δεσμά που κουβαλάμε”.

With the anticipation growing day by day, Metallica have released another track, the fourth so far from their new album.

Apart from the title track of the album, 72 Season is also the longest so far as it exceeds 8 minutes in duration.

The release of 72 Seasons is set for April 14th.

Here is what James Hetfield had stated about the title of both the track and consequently the album:
“72 seasons. The first 18 years of our lives that form our true or false selves. The concept that we were told ‘who we are’ by our parents. A possible pigeonholing around what kind of personality we are. I think the most interesting part of this is the continued study of those core beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Much of our adult experience is reenactment or reaction to these childhood experiences. Prisoners of childhood or breaking free of those bondages we carry”.
