Body Count get awarded with Best Metal Performance Grammy with Bum Rush, yet the The Recording Academy receives criticism for not honoring the memory of Eddie Van Halen.

Best Metal performance nominees this year were:

* BODY COUNT – “Bum-Rush”
* CODE ORANGE – “Underneath”
* IN THIS MOMENT – “The In-Between”
* POPPY – “Bloodmoney”
* POWER TRIP – “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe) – Live”

Body Count took the Grammy home for Bum Rush which was released in “Carnivore” of 2020.

The recording academy received negative comments about not honoring the memory of Eddie Van Halen enough as there was only a small reference in the “In Memory” segment with his guitar on the spotlight. Public negative comments were made by the guitarist of the band Gary Cherone but also by the radio producer of SiriusXM, Eddie Trunk.
