Μια συλλογή από 11 κομμάτια που είναι αδίστακτα πιασάρικα και ανελέητα βίαια, το Deceivers στέκεται στο ύψος των κορυφαίων στιγμών του ιστορικού καταλόγου της μπάντας. Οι οπαδοί μπορούν να περιμένουν το νέο single – “Handshake With Hell” – να κυκλοφορήσει την επόμενη εβδομάδα (Παρασκευή, 4 Φεβρουαρίου) μαζί με την έναρξη της προπαραγγελίας του άλμπουμ- εν τω μεταξύ, φροντίστε να τσεκάρετε τα κομμάτια του άλμπουμ που έχουν ήδη κυκλοφορήσει, “Deceiver, Deceiver” και “House Of Mirrors”.

Σχολιάζει ο Michael Ammot:
“Έχοντας μόλις γιορτάσει την 25η επέτειό μας ως συγκρότημα και τώρα κυκλοφορώντας το 11ο στούντιο άλμπουμ μας, θα μπορούσε κανείς εύκολα να υποθέσει ότι θα ταξιδεύαμε και θα κάναμε τις κινήσεις μας σε αυτό το σημείο. Στην πραγματικότητα, τίποτα δεν θα μπορούσε να απέχει περισσότερο από την αλήθεια όταν πρόκειται για τους Arch Enemy και το νέο μας άλμπουμ, ‘Deceivers’. Είναι αναμφίβολα πάντα μια πρόκληση να ανεβάζουμε τον πήχη κάθε φορά τόσο στο κομμάτι της σύνθεσης όσο και της παραγωγής και μπορεί να νιώθουμε λίγο τρομακτικοί πριν μπούμε σε αυτό. Αλλά μόλις ξεκινήσουμε και βυθιστούμε πλήρως στη δημιουργική διαδικασία, είναι πραγματικά σαν να μην υπάρχει τίποτα άλλο στον κόσμο και είμαστε πολύ συγκεντρωμένοι. Και είτε το πιστεύετε είτε όχι, ως επί το πλείστον, διασκεδάζουμε πάρα πολύ κάνοντας αυτή τη μουσική! Η δημιουργία του “Deceivers” δεν ήταν διαφορετική, για άλλη μια φορά αποκλείσαμε τον έξω κόσμο και μπήκαμε βαθιά στην καλλιτεχνική ζώνη. Πιστεύω ότι βγάλαμε μερικά πραγματικά ενδιαφέροντα μουσικά και στιχουργικά θέματα αυτή τη φορά, μερικά πράγματα που μπορεί να σηκώσουν και ένα ή δύο φρύδια – διατηρώντας παράλληλα όλα τα χαρακτηριστικά στοιχεία της μπάντας. Στο τέλος, είναι οι Arch Enemy σε πλήρη ταχύτητα και δύναμη!”

On July 29th, extreme metal masters Arch Enemy will release their 11th studio album, Deceivers, via Century Media Records. A collection of 11 tracks that are ruthlessly catchy and mercilessly violent, Deceivers stands toe-to-toe with the highlights of the band’s storied catalogue. Fans can expect the new single – “Handshake With Hell” – to drop next week (Friday, February 4th) along with the album pre-order start; in the meantime, be sure to check out the previously released album tracks, “Deceiver, Deceiver” and “House Of Mirrors“.Michael Amott (Guitars) comments: “Having just celebrated our 25th anniversary as a group and now releasing our 11th studio album, one could easily assume that we would be cruising along and going through the motions at this point. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to Arch Enemy and our new album, ‘Deceivers‘. It is without a doubt always a challenge to raise the bar each time in both the songwriting and production side of things, and it can feel a bit daunting before we get into it. But once we do get started and fully immerse ourselves in the creative process, it’s really like there is nothing else in the world and we are very focused. And believe it or not, for the most part, we have a ton of fun making this music! Creating ‘Deceivers‘ was no different, once again we shut out the outside world and went deep into the artistic zone. I believe we pulled out some really interesting musical and lyrical themes this time, a few things might even raise an eyebrow or two – while retaining all the signature elements of the band. When two greats of the German folk rock and medieval scene get together, there’s nothing but magic taking place – not even a prevailing pandemic can change that! Today, SUBWAY TO SALLY drop their captivating performance of the Saltatio Mortis hit “IX”, cut from the band’s upcoming, unique Blu-Ray/DVD/CD live-highlight, Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark (out June 18th).

SUBWAY TO SALLY add: “We covered ‘IX’ and put it into our very own SUBWAY TO SALLY version. Our long-time companions from Saltatio Mortis wanted us to cover the song for a bonus CD that’s part of their album Zirkus Zeitgeist (2015). Within a short time, the track became very popular amongst our fans and even pushed a few of our classics out of our streaming top 5 temporarily. After a joint tour playing the track together with Saltatio Mortis, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to keep it in our regular live set for some time. Or in other words: a Saltatio Mortis cover version became part of the SUBWAY TO SALLY set! I don’t think there can be a better alliance within our scene and so we were really looking forward to performing the song again with our friends at Eisheilige Nacht – Back to Lindenpark. “

28 Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες της Metal σκηνής το πήγαν ένα βήμα παραπάνω φτιάχνοντας μια διασκευή-βίντεο του Future World των Pretty Maids ηχογραφημένη με ότι μέσα διέθετε ο καθένας και το αποτέλεσμα είναι πραγμάτι αν μη τι άλλο ελπιδοφόρο.

To project επιμελήθηκε ο Denis Kostopoulos κάνοντας το Video Editing και την ηχογράφηση στο N-SIDE Studio ενώ η μίξη και το master έγινε στο από το Savvas Betinis στα S.I.A Recordings Spesial.

Στο επερχόμενο EP των Πολωνών extreme metallers BEHEMOTH θα ακούσουμε διασκευή τους στο “A Forest” των The Cure. Η κυκλοφορία αναμένεται στις 29 Μάη από την Metal Blade. Στην συγκεκριμένη διασκευή έχει και τη συμμετοχή του τραγουδιστή των SHINING Niklas Kvarforth. Στο “A Forest” EP θα περιέχεται και μια live εκδοχή του ομότιτλου καθώς και δύο ακυκλοφόρητα BEHEMOTH τραγούδια από τις ηχογραφήσεις του “I Loved You At Your Darkest”.

Πρόσφατα ο Manson κυκλοφόρησε μια διασκευ “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” που αρχίκα έζουν ερμηνεύσει οι Golden Gate Quartet το 1946, και τώρα επέστρεψε με μια ακόμη πιο σκοτεινή εκδοχή του The End των The Doors.
