Για να γνωριστούμε λίγο καλύτερα να κάνουμε μια καταγραφή της σύνθεσης του συγκροτήματος αλλά και των guest που είναι ένας και ένας μέσα σε αυτή την κυκλοφορία. Η μπάντα αρχικά δημιουργήθηκε από τον Voi Cox (Koziak, Victim) & τον κιθαρίστα Luger (Koziak, Benighted-Cro). Στα φωνητικά όπως προείπαμε είναι ο Björn Strid (Soilwork), ο μπασίστας Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament), ο drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner (Septicflesh) και στα πλήκτρα ο John Lönnmyr (The Night Flight Orchestra). Οι καλεσμένοι της κυκλοφορίας περιλαμβάνουν τον Bobby Koelble (Death), Peter Wichers (ex Soilwork), Matias “IA” Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) και τον Ron ”Bumblefoot” Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Sons of Apollo). Η μίξη έγινε στα Studio Fredman από τον Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy).

Στα μουσικά, οι Act Of Denial είναι το μελωδικό death που έχει άρωμα Σουηδίας, έχει καταιγιστικά riff και αδυσώπητο drumming δημιουργώντας έτσι ένα ηχητικό αποτέλεσμα σα να έχεις πάρει το μελωδικό death της δεκαετίας του 90 που έχουμε αγαπήσει και να του έχεις προσθέσει το σύγχρονο γρήγορο και εξαγριωμένο drumming του σήμερα. Πρόσθεσε σε αυτό και καλοδουλεμένα κιθαριστικά μονοπάτια και έχεις ένα άλμπουμ που δείχνει ότι έχουμε πολλά να περιμένουμε από αυτή τη συνεργασία πολλών αστέρων. Τραγούδια όπως το Negative, Reflection Walls και Puzzle Heart θα σας ιντριγκάρουν αρκετά για να δώσετε την προσοχή σας στη μπάντα. Ακούγοντας την εναλλαγή από καθαρά σε brutal θα νιώσετε να αναμοχλεύονται μέσα σας συναισθήματα και τα κιθαριστικά σόλο θα ξύσουν την επιφάνεια και θα σας κερδίσουν. Πατήστε το play και θα με θυμηθείτε γιατί το Negative έχει μόνο θετικό πρόσημο και ανυπομονούμε να τους ακούσουμε live και να δούμε που θα οδηγήσουν τον ήχο τους.

When I first came across Act Of Denial, it was during lock down and it was one of the things that excited me. Because I am a huge fan of Björn Strid (Soilwork) voice and skill to create melodies even if there are none. Because I consider Kerim “Krimh” Lechner (Septicflesh) to be one of the best drummers of his generation but also because in Act Of Denial you get the chance to listen to massive riffing with enchanting melodies. Having listened to the first singles, I have to admit that I was looking forward to listening to their debut album Negative, which came out on August 13^th through Crusader Records.

In order to know us better but also to list the guests in the alum let’s dig into the lineup and artists appearing in the album. ACT OF DENIAL was founded by Voi Cox (Koziak, Victim) & guitarist Luger (Koziak, Benighted-Cro). They are joined by Björn Strid (Soilwork), bassist Steve Di Giorgio (Death, Testament), drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner (Septicflesh) and keyboardist John Lönnmyr (The Night Flight Orchestra).

The band, along with the 6 original musicians, also features other big names and special guests such as Bobby Koelble (Death), Peter Wichers (ex Soilwork), Matias “IA” Eklundh (Freak Kitchen) and Ron ‘’Bumblefoot’’ Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Sons of Apollo), who all contributed solos to the album. The album was mixed at Studio Fredman by legendary producer Fredrik Nordström (At The Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Arch Enemy).

Musically Act Of Denial play melodic death with a touch of Sweden, devastating riffing with unstoppable hammering on the drums creating a sonic result that is like you have a 90s kind of melodic death, upgraded with the raging drumming of the 10s. Add up to that mixture thoroughly written guitar paths and you get an album that clearly shows we can expect a lot from this constellation of “metal stars”. Songs like the title track Negative, Reflection Walls and Puzzle Heart will get you hooked enough to invest time and attention to this band. Listening to the lingering between clean and brutal vocal lines you will definitely feel emotions stirred while the guitar solos will scrape the surface and will win you over. Press play and you’ll know what I mean, because the Negative is nothing but positive, when it come to the impression it leaves you with, and we can’t wait to enjoy them live and see what the future falls for them.

To supergroup με έδρα την Κροατία μας έχει παρουσιάσει ήδη τρία τραγούδια από το ντεμπούτο ενώ αναμένουμε να μας ανακοινώσει ημερομηνία κυκλοφορίας του άλμπουμ καθώς πλέον έχουν δισκογραφική στέγη την Crusader Records. Στο teaser του Slave, δημοσιοποίησαν την guest εμφάνιση του πρώην κιθαρίστα των Soilwork Pete Wichers ενώ το single θα δημοσιευτεί 29 Μαρτίου.

Θυμίζουμε ότι οι Act Of Denial είναι ένα supergoup που δημιουργήθηκε μέσα στο 2020. Act Of Denial have released a teaser for their 4rth single set to be released on March 29th.

The supergroup based on Croatia has already released three songs from their upcoming debut album set to be released in 2021 through Crusader Records. In the teaser we found out that the new single entitled Slave will include a guest appearance of ex Soilwork guitarist Pete Wichers.

Act Of Denial are a supergroup formed in 2020.
