“Όσοι μας γνωρίζουν, ξέρουν ότι αγαπάμε το παραδοσιακό στοιχείο και το πάντρεμά του με το μεταλλικό ήχο μας. Η διασκευή του συγκεκριμένου τραγουδιού ήταν μια πρόκληση που θέσαμε στους εαυτούς μας, και παρόλο που μας βγήκε πολύ φυσικά, απαίτησε πολλή δουλειά για να διαμορφωθεί ακριβώς όπως το οραματιστήκαμε. Όπως πάντα κάνουμε, δεν το αντιμετωπίσαμε σαν μια απλή διασκευή, αλλά επιχειρήσαμε να δημιουργήσουμε μία πιο “δική μας”, σκοτεινότερη εκδοχή, πάντα με σεβασμό στο πρωτότυπο, που άλλωστε αποτελεί ένα αριστουργηματικό τραγούδι που αναδεικνύει τις ρίζες μας. Ελπίζουμε να σας συνεπάρει!”

Την ηχογράφηση, μίξη και mastering ανέλαβε ο Steve Lado, ενώ το video σκηνοθέτησε ο Bob Katsionis με διευθυντή φωτογραφίας τον Αλέξανδρο Χαριτάκη. Η κινηματογράφηση έγινε στα Atlas Audio & Visual Studios.

Το συγκεκριμένο δεν αποτελεί την πρώτη διασκευή παραδοσιακού τραγουδιού στην οποία επιδίδεται το Αθηναϊκό κουαρτέτο, καθώς το 2021, είχαν διασκευάσει το εμβληματικό “Την Πατρίδα M’ Έχασα”, σαν φόρο τιμής στην γενοκτονία του Πόντου.

Ακριβώς στην ώρα τους, οι The Silent Rage βρέθηκαν στην σκηνή και άνοιξαν μουσικά την ημέρα. Περίσσεια η όρεξη τους, όπως και αυτή του κόσμου που συμμετείχε ένθερμα καθόλη την διάρκεια τους set τους υπό την καθοδήγηση και εμψύχωση του κιθαρίστα της μπάντας Νίκου Σιγλίδη. Η εμφάνιση τους  περιείχε κομμάτια από την πρώτη τους δισκογραφική δουλειά αλλά και ένα νέο κομμάτι, το “The Serpent Lord” από τον καινούργιο, ακυκλοφόρητο ακόμα, δίσκο τους. Ο ήχος δεν τους ευνόησε ιδιαίτερα, καθότι τόσο οι αναμεταξύ τους στάθμες όσο και ισορροπία στις κιθάρες είχε εμφανή θέματα. Οι ίδιοι βέβαια όπως και οι φίλοι που τους χειροκρότησαν φάνηκαν να το απολαμβάνουν ιδιαιτέρως.

Έντονο το σφυροκόπημα της ζέστης και τα παιδιά των Enemy Of Reality που ακολούθησαν στην σκηνή πρέπει να το ένιωσαν αυτό που λέμε “στο πετσί” τους. Με τον κόσμο να έχει αυξηθεί αρκετά, με μεγάλο όμως ποσοστό να αναζητεί την όποια ιδέα σκιάς μπροστά στα περίπτερα έναντι του ήλιου μπροστά από την σκηνή, Η Ηλιάνα Τσακιράκη μας καλωσόρισε υπό τις νότες του “Long Forgotten” και του “In Hiding” που ακολούθησε. Τιμώντας ως επί το πλείστον την δεύτερη δισκογραφική τους δουλεια, δεν παρέλειψαν να μας παρουσιάσουν και αυτοί νέο υλικό, δίνοντας μας μια καλή ιδέα του τι ετοιμάζουν στην καινούργια τους δουλειά. Φυσικά δεν θα μπορούσε να λείπει από το set list τους η πρόσφατη και ιδιαίτερη διασκευή τους στο “Την Πατρίδα Μ’έχασα”, την οποία κυκλοφόρησαν εις μνήμην της Ποντιακής γενοκτονίας. Πλήρως επαγγελματική εμφάνιση, προσεγμένη στο έπακρο. Από ενδηματολογικής πλευράς και συνοχής μέχρι σκηνικής τοποθέτησης. Γέμισαν με ευκολία την σκηνή και κράτησαν το ενδιαφέρον και την προσοχή στην σκηνή, δείχνοντας πως γνωρίζουν πως να διαχειριστούν τόσο τον κόσμο όσο και μεγαλύτερες σκηνές. Ο ήχος βελτιωμένος, αρκετά πιο ισορροπημένος (η μία κιθάρα πολλές φορές μπορεί να αποτελεί ευλογία ως προς αυτό), επιτρέποντας τους να μεταδώσουν άρτια την ενέργεια των κομματιών και της συνολικής τους παρουσίας στο κοινό. Η μουσική και πιο θεατρική δε κατεύθυνση της μπάντας έστησε τέλεια και με τον πιο ταιριαστό τρόπο το σκηνικό για την συνέχεια.

Την Πατρίδα Μ’έχασα

Με τον ήλιο στο πικ του και είκοσι λεπτά μετά της επτά, οι Epica υπό τους ήχους του “Abyss Of Time”, μέσα από την τελευταία τους δισκογραφική δουλειά, ανέβηκαν στην σκηνή. Η υποδοχή του κόσμου, που πλέον είχε αυξηθεί κατά πολύ, ήταν κάτι παραπάνω από θερμή. Και η μπάντα βέβεια με την σειρά της, από την αρχή έκανε ιδιαίτερα αισθητή την όρεξη και την καλή της διάθεση, καθώς τα ποσοστά ενέργειας που διαχέονταν από την σκηνή ήταν αισθητά μέχρι πίσω. Η Simone Simone φάνηκε να βρίσκεται σε εξαιρετική ημέρα καθ ότι πραγματικά αψεγάδιαστη. Τρομερή απόδοση και κρυστάλλινες ερμηνείες τόσο στις πιο πρόσφατες συνθέσεις του συγκροτήματος όπως τα “The Skeleton Key” και “Essence Of Silence”, όσο και στις κλασικότερες πλέον μουσικά στιγμές τους με τα  “Cry For The Moon” και “Sancta Terra”, μην ξεχνάμε πως οι Epica μετράνε πλέον είκοσι χρόνια ζωής.

Φοβερά επικοινωνιακός και σε εξίσου άριστη απόδοση και φόρμα και ο Mark Janssen τόσο παικτικά όσο και φωνητικά. Δεν θα μπορούσαν να λείψουν φυσικά από μεριάς του τα αστειάκια για τα γεγονότα του περασμένου Σαββάτου στην εμφάνιση των Iron Maiden, καθώς όπως ο ίδιος είπε, ήμαστε τρομερό κοινό και δεν αντιλαμβάνεται τους λόγους που δεν “αρέσαμε” στον Bruce Dickinson. Πρώτο highlight της ημέρας το stage dive και crowd surf του πληκτρά του συγκροτήματος, Coen Janssen, μαζί με το περίτεχνο και περίεργο keyboard του. Αξιοσημείωτο το άναμα πυρσών προς το τέλος της εμφάνισης της μπάντας όπως επίσης και το moshpit στο “Consigh To Oblivion” το οποίο και έκλεισε το set τους. Παρότι δεν δηλώνω ο μεγαλύτερος φίλος ή γνώστης της δισκογραφίας τους, η live παρουσία τους με κέρδισε πλήρως από κάθε πλευρά. Με σύμμαχο τον τρομερό ήχο και την δική τους πολύ καλή διάθεση κέρδισαν το χειροκρότημα του κόσμου.

Με την πλατεία νερού να έχει πλέον γεμίσει από κόσμο και από τα ηχεία ξεκινάει να ακούγεται το “War Of Wrath”. Απλά ανατριχίλα. Κόσμος ξεκινάει να τρέχει από κάθε πλευρά του χώρου αφήνοντας ότι έκανε, την ουρά στα ταμεία και στα περίπτερα για να προλάβει να φτάσει μπροστά στην σκηνή. Μια σκηνή την οποία κοσμεί το εξώφυλλο του “Somewhere Far Beyond” το οποίο και είχε την τιμητική του, καθότι μετράμε αισίως τριάντα χρόνια από την κυκλοφορία του. Τι τα θες, με το “Into The Storm” σείστηκε το έδαφος. Ναι, τόσο φοβερή ήταν η “καλημέρα” των Blind Guardian επί σκηνής. Δυστυχώς, ο ήχος στέρησε το κάτι παραπάνω από την εκκίνηση, με τον Hansi Kursch να ακούγεται μετά βίας. Ευτυχώς ήταν πολύ σύντομη αυτή η αστοχία και αν εξαιρέσεις όσους από εμάς δεν κραυγάζαμε ήδη, νομίζω πως κανένας δεν το πρόσεξε τόσο ή δεν φάνηκε να ενοχλεί όλους αυτούς που με τα χέρια στον αέρα τραγουδούσαν κάθε λέξη και στίχο. Τρομερή ενέργεια, φοβερό εκτόπισμα, τρομακτική επίδοση, όλα από το πρώτο λεπτό.

Άλλη μία περίπτωση αντικατάστατου συγκροτήματος, άλλη μία περίπτωση “παλαιάς” φρουράς που φέρει το μαγικό άγγιγμα και που όταν “φύγει” δεν θα μπορέσει κανένας να καλύψει το κενό. Όχι μόνο μουσικά, αλλά και σε συνθήκες ζωντανής εμφάνισης. Αδιανόητη απόδοση, μηχανή ασταμάτητη, πηγαία όχι προσποιητή και στημένη. Άδεια, χωρίς εφέ και κορδέλες. Λιτή και ειλικρινής, μη μπορώντας όμως την χωρέσει και να την περιορίσει ακόμα και η μεγαλύτερη σκηνή. Συνοδευόμενη από κομμάτια και παραμύθια που έχουν χαράξει την θέση τους στη ιστορία πλέον. Δεν σταμάτησε κανένας να τραγουδάει, κανένας να χοροπηδάει για περισσότερη από μια ώρα. Ο Hansi Kursch προσπάθησε να μιλάει όσο το δυνατόν λιγότερο προκειμένου να μην “κλέψει” λεπτό από το setlist. Όπως είπε και ο ίδιος, είμαστε παλιοί γνώριμοι και επικοινωνούμε από καρδιάς πλέον και πραγματικά πόσο δίκιο είχε. Συχνά πυκνά φρόντιζε να μας “στολίζει” κανονικότατα για το ότι αποτελούμε σημείο αναφοράς σαν κοινό. Κι όμως, δεν γίνεται να είσαι τόσο απλός στην σκηνική σου παρουσία, τόσο “άδειος” από γνωστά τεχνάσματα και συνάμα να μην σε χωράει ο τόπος και να είναι αδύνατον να πάρεις τα μάτια σου από την σκηνή.

Παράλληλα, καταιγισμός από κομμάτια/ύμνους, “Welcome To Dying”, “Time What Is Time”, “Ashes To Ashes”, δεν γίνεται να μείνεις αμέτοχος. Στιγμή απαράμιλλης ομορφιάς, η ανάπαυλα και ο ήχος ακουστικής κιθάρας στο “The Bard’s Song”. Πρέπει να ακούστηκαν οι φωνές μας παντού. Όλη τους η εμφάνιση θα μπορούσε να είναι highlight, με πρώτο pik το προαναφερθέν κομμάτι και δεύτερο τον χαμό που επικράτησε στο “Mirror Mirror”. Βεγγαλικών συνέχεια, ήταν αναμενόμενο. Τελευταία μεγάλη στιγμή το ατελείωτο “Valhalla”, η διάρκεια του οποίου πρέπει να ήταν διπλάσια από το acapella κλείσιμο του κοινού. Μνημιώδης εμφάνιση μιας εξίσου μνημιώδης μπάντας.

Έντεκα και επτά στο ρολόι και το main event της ημέρας βγαίνει επί σκηνής μετά τα προβλεπόμενα προλογίζον ηχητικά και video. Μόνο με μπαμ, κυριολεκτικά και μεταφορικά θα μπορούσαν να βγουν στην σκηνή οι Sabaton, έτσι τους πρέπει, ταιριάζει και αρμόζει. Με ιδιαίτερα δυνατό εναρκτήριο κομμάτι άνοιξαν την εμφάνιση τους, το “Ghost Protocol” το οποίο συνοδεύτηκε  από εκρήξεις, φωτιές και άλλα “καλούδια”. Drumkit στημένο πάνω σε άρμα, απομεινάρια από τοίχους, πλέγματα, σκέτος πόλεμος δηλαδή.

Ότι ακριβώς θα περίμενες από τους Sabaton, στο έδωσαν από την πρώτη στιγμή. Πομπώδες, μελωδικό, πιασάρικο heavy metal συνοδευόμενο από show εφάμιλλης ποιότητας. Το κοινό φρόντισε να τους δώσει ακόμα μεγαλύτερη ανταπόδοση δύναμης με ομοβροντία. Οι πρώτες σειρές πρέπει να έδωσαν κυριολεκτικά μάχη καθώς επικράτησε ένας “μικρός” χαμός και μόνιμα μικρότερης έκτασης moshpit. Περίσσια όρεξη και από τους Sabaton που δεν λυπήθηκαν γραμμάριο ιδρώτα και ενέργειας, με συνεχόμενο headbanging. Θεατρικότητας συνέχεια, με τον frontman της μπάντας Joakim Broden ο οποίος μετά την εμφάνιση του στην σκηνή με μπαζούκα, στο “The Attack Of The Dead Men” τραγούδησε μέσα από μία αντιασφυξιογόνα μάσκα του δευτέρου παγκοσμίου πολέμου.

Τρομερή κιθαριστική δουλειά, μεγάλο ατού τόσο ο Chris Rörland όσο και ο Tommy Johansson τους οποίους προσωπικά ευχαριστήθηκα ιδιαίτερα. Εξαιρετικοί τόσο στην σκηνική τους παρουσία όσο και στο κομμάτι των solo. Προς έκπληξη, περίπου στα μισά του set τους, ο μπασίστας του συγκροτήματος Pär Sundström μας μίλησε σπαστά Ελληνικά,εκφράζοντας μας την αγάπη του για την χώρα και την προσπάθειά του να μάθει ακόμα καλύτερα την γλώσσα. Αστιευόμενος, είπε πως η υπόλοιπη μπάντα δεν έχει ιδέα του τι μας λέει, κάτι που προκάλεσε γέλια καθώς και το χειροκρότημα του κοινού. Σταδιακά ο κόσμος λιγόστευε, καθώς τόσο η περασμένη ώρα και ο περιορισμός της ως προς τα μέσα μαζικής μεταφοράς αλλά και το γεγονός ότι τη επομένη ήταν εργάσιμη ημέρα, ανάγκασε αρκετούς να αποχωρήσουν πριν το τέλος του set.

Οι Sabaton καθόλη την διάρκεια τους στην σκηνή, έδωσαν ένα εντυπωσιακό show, με καταιγισμό εκρήξεων και βεγγαλικών κάτι που ανταποδώθηκε από την σχεδόν συνεχόμενη παρουσιά πυρσών από μεριάς κόσμου. Τίμησαν μεγάλο μέρος της δισκογραφίας τους, με “Steel Commanders”,“Carolus Rex”, “Sparta” να κάνουν την διαφορά, ενώ υπό τους ήχους του “Primo Victoria” πυρσοί έκανα την εμφάνιση τους μέχρι και στο μέρος των vip. Σκηνικό άξιο αναφοράς για κλείσιμο, με το κοινό να κάθεται κάτω και να τραβάει κουπί, στο “Swedish Pagans”.  Οι Sabaton έκαναν μια αξοπρεπέστατη εμφάνιση και ένα πολύ δυνατό show αποδεικνύοντας την εμπορικότητα που την συντροφεύει τα τελευταία χρόνια. Για να είμαι ειλικρινής βέβαια, δεν θα με ενοχλούσε καθόλου η αντιστροφή θέσης στην κορυφή, αλλά περί ορέξεως λένε…

 Eleventh day for this year’s Release Athens Festival, which shook the venue both with its diversity as well with the explosive performances of all the bands.

Thursday was again a hot day and the little breeze that was blowing was a blessing for those who patiently waited for the doors to open outside the live area. The doors actually opened at the listed time, if not earlier, and I was happy to find out that people were heading to the stage right from the start. It’s sad to see the opening bands performing their material under the hot sun in an “empty” environment, which happens most of the time unfortunately, but not in this case.

Right on schedule, The Silent Rage hit the stage and opened the day musically. They were in a great mood, as was that of the crowd who enthusiastically participated throughout their set under the guidance and call of the band’s guitarist Nikos Siglidis. Their performance included tracks from their first record as well as a new track, “The Serpent Lord” from their new, as yet unreleased, album. The sound did not favor them that much, as both the levels between them and the balance of the guitars had obvious issues. Of course, they, as well as the friends who applauded them, seemed to enjoy their performance very much.

The heat was intense and the guys and lady from Enemy Of Reality who followed on stage must have felt it for real. With the crowd number being increased quite a bit, but with a large percentage of it looking for any possible amount of ​​shade around the area instead of going in front of the stage, Iliana Tsakiraki welcomed us under the notes of “Long Forgotten” and “In Hiding” that followed . Mostly playing material from their second record, they also present us new material as well, giving us a good idea of ​​what they are up to in their new work. Of course, their recent and special cover of “Την Πατρίδα Μ’έχασα“, which they released in memory of the Pontic genocide, could not have been left out or be missing from their set list. Totally professional band, down to the detail. From the clothing aspect to the on stage consistency. They easily filled the stage and kept the interest and attention on stage, showing that they know how to handle both the crowd and bigger stages. The sound was improved, much more balanced (the one guitar can often be a blessing in this matter), allowing them to perfectly convey the energy of the tracks and their overall presence to the audience. The musical and more theatrical direction of the band set the scene perfectly and in the most appropriate way for what was coming next.

With the sun at its peak and twenty minutes past seven, Epica took to the stage to the sounds of “Abyss Of Time”, from their latest album. The reception from the crowd, now greatly increased, was more than warm. And the band, in turn, made their good mood particularly noticeable from the beginning, as the amount of energy that spread from the stage was noticeable all the way back. Simone Simone was having a great day as her voice sounded flawless. Tremendous and crystal-clear performance in both the band’s most recent compositions such as “The Skeleton Key” and “Essence Of Silence”, as well as in their most classic moments with “Cry For The Moon” and “Sancta Terra”. Let’s not forget that Epica is now twenty years old.

Greatly communicative and equally excellent in his performance and form, both playing and vocally was Mark Janssen . Of course, jokes about the events of last Saturday at Iron Maiden’s performance could not be missing from his side, since as he said, we were a great audience and he doesn’t understand the reasons why Bruce Dickinson didn’t “liked” us. The first highlight of the day was the stage dive and crowd surf of the band’s keyboard player, Coen Janssen, along with his elaborate and strange keyboard. The lighting of torches towards the end of the band’s performance is noteworthy, as well as the moshpit that stated in “Consigh To Oblivion” which closed their set. Although I don’t claim to be their biggest fan or the band and their discography, their live presence completely won me over from every aspect of it. Together with their incredible sound and their own very good mood, they won the crowd’s applause.

With the venue now filled with people, “War Of Wrath” starts playing from the speakers. Just goosebumps all over. People start running from every side of the venue, leaving what they were doing, the waiting line at the cash registers and booths in order to get to the front of the stage. A scene adorned by the cover of “Somewhere Far Beyond” which had its honorable special anniversary , since we are counting thirty years since its release. With “Into The Storm” that came after, the ground shook. Yes, that’s how awesome Blind Guardian’s “hello” was on stage. Unfortunately, the sound stole some of that awesomeness at the start, with Hansi Kursch barely heardable. Luckily this mishap was very brief and if you exclude those of us who weren’t already screaming, I don’t think anyone from those that were singing every word and verse with their hands in the air really noticed or seemed to mind. Amazing  energy, awesome stage placement, breathtaking  performance, all from the first minute.

Another case of an irreplaceable band, another case of the “old” guard that carries the magic touch and that no one will be able to fill the void when they are gone. Not only musically, but also in live performance conditions. Unthinkable performance, an unstoppable machine, sinsear not an act, from within the heart. Without the aid of effects and lights. Simple and honest, unable to be contained even on the biggest stage. Accompanied by songs and tales that have carved their place in history by now. No one stopped singing, no one stopped jumping for more than an hour. Hansi Kursch tried to speak as little as possible in order not to “steal” a minute from the setlist. As he himself said, we are old acquaintances and communicate from the heart by now and indeed, how right he was. He often made sure to “adorn” us for being a point of reference as an audience. And yet, it is not possible to be so simple in your stage presence, so “empty” of well-known tricks and at the same time, the place can not fit you and making  it impossible to take your eyes off the stage.

At the same time, a storm of songs/anthems followed, “Welcome To Dying”, “Time What Is Time”, “Ashes To Ashes”, you can’t remain neutral to what is taking place. A moment of incomparable beauty, the calm before another storm, the sound of acoustic guitar in “The Bard’s Song”. Our voices must have been heard everywhere. Their entire performance could be a highlight, with the aforementioned track being the first peak along with the war that took place in “Mirror Mirror” as the second one. Flares were lit again,as  it was expected. Last big moment of the set  was the endless “Valhalla”, the duration of which must have been twice as long as the original,  as the acapella chorus that was sung by the audience at the end must have lasted forever. Monumental performance by an equally monumental band.

Seven minutes past Eleven on the clock and the main event of the day comes on stage after the scheduled audio and video prologues. Only with a bang, literally and figuratively, could Sabaton take the stage, so it should, fits and suits  them. They opened their performance with a particularly strong opening track, “Ghost Protocol”, which was accompanied by explosions, fires and other “goodies”. Drumkit set up upon a tank, remnants of walls, grids, pure war scenery.

Exactly what you would expect from Sabaton, that’s what you get from the first moment. Big, melodic, catchy heavy metal accompanied by a show of unparalleled quality. The audience made sure to answer that and gave them even more power back. The first rows must have literally fought as a “small” war and smaller moshpits  were taking place here and there all the time. Sabaton spared not a single drop of sweat and energy, hammering the stage with continuous headbanging. Theatrics continued, with the band’s frontman Joakim Broden who, after appearing on stage with a bazooka, in “The Attack Of The Dead Men” sang through a World War II gas mask.

Tremendous guitar work, credits to both Chris Rörland and Tommy Johansson whom I personally enjoyed big time. Excellent, both of them, both in their stage presence and in the guitar solos part. To our surprise, about halfway through the set, the band’s bassist Pär Sundström spoke in Greek to us, expressing his love for the country and his effort to learn the language even better. Jokingly, he said that the rest of the band had no idea what he was telling us, which was answered by laughter as well as applause from the audience. Gradually the crowd was getting smaller, as the limitations of public transport at such late hours  and the fact that the next day was a working day, forced several to leave before the end of the set.

Throughout their time on stage, Sabaton gave an impressive show, with a barrage of explosions and fire shows, something that was matched and answered by the crowd with the continuous presence of torches and flares. They honored a large part of their discography, with “Steel Commanders”, “Carolus Rex”, “Sparta” gaining the fans applause, while under the sounds of “Primo Victoria” torches made their appearance even in the VIP area. Noteworthy,at the show’s end, the audience at the front rows sat down and started pulling the “oars” under the sound of  “Swedish Pagans”. Sabaton made a decent appearance in a very strong show, proving the commercialism that accompanies them in recent years. To be honest of course, I wouldn’t be bothered at all by the reversal of position at the top, but that’s just little old me…

Αποτελεί ένα φόρο τιμής προς τα θύματα της Γενοκτονίας του Ποντιακού Ελληνισμού, η οποία τιμάται σήμερα και κάθε χρόνο στις 19  Μαϊου, ημέρα μνήμης που καθιερώθηκε το 1994, με απόφαση της Βουλής των Ελλήνων.

Το ίδιο το συγκρότημα δήλωσε: “Η γενοκτονία του Ποντιακού Ελληνισμού είναι ένα από τα σημαντικότερα και ταυτόχρονα πιο ζοφερά γεγονότα του 20ου αιώνα. Πάνω από 353.000 άνθρωποι έχασαν τις ζωές τους σε μία ακόμη εκστρατεία μίσους και εγκληματικών πολιτικών. Η πρωτοβουλία που παίρνουμε να τιμήσουμε αυτές τις μνήμες πηγάζει από την ανάγκη μας να υπερασπιστούμε τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα, που είναι υπεράνω καταγωγής, εθνικότητας και θρησκευτικών πεποιθήσεων. Η αλληλεγγύη, ο σεβασμός στην διαφορετικότητα και η ανθρωπιά είναι αξίες που μπορούν να μας φέρουν όλους πιο κοντά. Καμία μάνα να μην χάνει το παιδί της, κανένα παιδί να μην χάνει την μάνα του και προπάντων κανείς να μην χάνει την πατρίδα του, τη γλώσσα του, την αναφορά του.”

Οι Enemy of Reality βρίσκονται αυτή την περίοδο προ των πυλών της τρίτης δισκογραφικής τους κυκλοφορίας.

Greek symphonic metal act Enemy of Reality has just released a new music video for the song “Tin Patrida M’Ehasa” (I Lost my Homeland) which is an impressive adaptation of a traditional Pontic Greek song and a tribute to the victims of the Pontic Greek genocide. May 19 is the day of remembrance for the Greek genocide since February 24 1994, when the Hellenic parliament voted to recognize it.

The band stated: “We are very excited to present to you our latest work. May 19 marks the remembrance of the Pontic Greek Genocide (1916-1923), one of the darkest moments in Greece’s history. Entire villages and cities were devastated. By 1923, out of 700.000 Pontian Greeks who lived in Asia Minor, as many as 353.000 were killed and almost all the rest were forced to flee to neighbouring countries. This was the end of one of the ancient Greek civilizations in Asia Minor. We will never forget. This video is dedicated to all those who have been violently forced to flee their homes and countries.”

Enemy of Reality are currently in the recording procedure of their upcoming third full length album.
