Ευχαριστώ για την υποστήριξή σας στην πιο δύσκολη συναυλία της ζωής μου στα 30 χρόνια των Moonspell. Η ζωή, τον τελευταίο καιρό, δεν ήταν καλή μαζί μου. Οι πανδημίες, η επιστροφή με 3 μήνες σε περιοδεία σε δύσκολες συνθήκες, προσωπικά πράγματα, η άσχημη κατάσταση του κόσμου μας και κάποια προβλήματα υγείας συσσωρεύτηκαν και χθες συντρίφτηκα κάτω από το βάρος μπροστά σας. Δεν υπάρχει άλλος τρόπος να το θέσω.

Ζητώ συγγνώμη, γιατί αισθάνομαι ότι είναι καθήκον μου να είμαι πάντα σε κορυφαία φωνητική και φυσική κατάσταση απέναντι στους οπαδούς μας που πληρώνουν τα σκληρά κερδισμένα χρήματά τους για να δουν το σόου μας. Δεν υπάρχουν δικαιολογίες. Παρ’ όλα αυτά, μην κάνετε κανένα λάθος: σας έδωσα ό,τι είχα (και πέρα από αυτό) και τα κατάφερα σε όλο το σόου, φεύγοντας από τη σκηνή όρθιος και περπατώντας στα πόδια μου. Τίποτα από όλα αυτά δεν θα ήταν εφικτό χωρίς την αγάπη της μπάντας μου, του συνεργείου και των οπαδών μου. Δεν θα το ξεχάσω ποτέ! Μια λέξη ευγνωμοσύνης στην ομάδα των τραυματιοφορέων που με βοήθησαν μετά το σόου και με βοήθησαν, ώστε να μπορέσω να ταξιδέψω πίσω στην Πορτογαλία.

Αυτή τη στιγμή παρακολουθούμε και εξετάζομαι σε νοσοκομείο της Λισαβόνας και είμαι αρκετά σίγουρος ότι όλα θα πάνε καλά στο τέλος. Το πρόβλημα υγείας μου είναι μια πάθηση του στομάχου, δεν έχει καμία σχέση με ναρκωτικά (που δεν χρησιμοποιώ) ή αλκοόλ (δεν πίνω τελευταία), που επιδεινώθηκε από το αίσθημα εξάντλησης και (ναι) κατάθλιψης που με πλήττει τελευταία και το οποίο θα ξεπεράσω με τον καιρό. Στο μεταξύ, ελπίζω να σας δω στις υπόλοιπες καλοκαιρινές συναυλίες των Moonspell, πριν κάνουμε ένα μικρό διάλειμμα από τις ζωντανές εμφανίσεις για να επικεντρωθούμε σε δικά μας προσωπικά θέματα και σε περαιτέρω project των Moonspell.

Moonspell have uploaded a message from Fernando Ribeiro after their gig in Poland. ” A message from Fernando: I want both to say thanks and to apologize to the amazingly empathic crowd of Mystic Festival Gdańsk, Poland

Thanks for your support in the hardest gig of my life in 30 years of Moonspell. Life, lately, hasn’t been kind on me. The pandemics, the comeback with 3 months on tour in harsh conditions l, personal things, the ugly state of our world and some health problems have been piling up and yesterday I crushed under the weight in front of you. No other way to put it. Apologies, because I feel it’s my duty to be always on top vocal and physical shape to our fans who pay their hard-earned money to see our show. No excuses.Nevertheless, make no mistake: I gave you all I had (and beyond that) and made it through the whole show, leaving the stage standing and walking on my own feet. Nothing of this would be possible without the love of my band, crew and fans. I shall never forget!
A word of gratitude to the paramedic team who assisted me after-show and fixed me, so I could travel back to Portugal.I am currently being watched and tested at a Lisbon hospital and I am pretty sure all will be fine in the end. My health problem is a stomach condition, nothing to do with drugs (that I don’t use) or alcohol (I haven’t been drinking lately), made worse by the feeling of exhaustion and (yes) depression striking me lately and that I shall overcome in time.In the meanwhile, I hope to see you in the remaining summer shows of Moonspell, before we take a small break from playing live to focus on our own personal matters and further Moonspell projects.

Η περιοδεία που διοργανώνει η Live Nation, “50 Heavy Metal Years“ που είχε αναβληθεί και επανεκκίνησε στις 8 Σεπτέμβρη από το Reading, Pennsylvania θα συνέχιζε για όλο τον Οκτώβρη και θα έκλεινε 5 Νοέμβρη στο Hamilton, Ontario.

Ωστόσο με ανακοίνωσή τους τη Δευτέρα 27 Σεπτέμβρη ανέβαλαν την περιοδεία. Πιο συγκεκριμένα όπως αναφέρει το επίσημο management Chipster PR: “Με μεγάλη μας λύπη θα πρέπει να αναβάλουμε την υπόλοιπη Αμερικανική περιοδεία μας καθώς ο Richie Faulkner έχει σοβαρό θέμα υγείας στην καρδιά και αναγκάζεται να νοσηλευτεί άμεσα προκειμένου να λάβει θεραπεία. Στο ενδιάμεσο στέλνουμε όλη την αγάπη και τη συμπαράστασή μας, ευχόμενοι μια γρήγορη ανάρρωση …

Μόλις έχουμε νεότερα από τους γιατρούς του για το πότε μπορούμε να κανονίσουμε τις ημερομηνίες θα τις ανακοινώσουμε και φυσικά τα εισιτήρια θα ισχύουν κανονικά.” Ο Faulkner είναι μέλος των PRIEST από το 2011 αντικαθιστώντας τον K.K. Downing.

British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST have postponed the remainder of their U.S. tour due to “major medical heart condition issues” suffered by guitarist Richie Faulkner. Produced by Live Nation, the rescheduled “50 Heavy Metal Years” trek kicked off on September 8 in Reading, Pennsylvania and was slated to run through October before concluding on November 5 in Hamilton, Ontario.

PRIEST‘s most recent show took place Sunday night (September 26) at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Kentucky. The band’s next date was originally set for Wednesday (September 29) at the Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.

On Monday, September 27, PRIEST released the following statement via longtime publicists Chipster PR: “it is with deep regret that we have to postpone the rest of our U.S. tour. Richie Faulkner has major medical heart condition issues which have landed him in the hospital where he is being treated. In the meantime, we are all sending love to our Falcon to wish him a speedy recovery…

“As soon as we have any updates from his doctors on when we can reschedule the dates, we will of course announce them — tickets will be valid…”

Faulkner joined PRIEST in 2011 as the replacement for original guitarist K.K. Downing.
