SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL have released their new video/single titled VIKING. The band says they are in creative mode for the new album and as they comment in their Instagram post “We tried to make it EPIC. We tried to make it HEAVY.

Ov Sulfur is the sound of a musical left-hand path that is nothing short of sonically jarring, lyrically blasphemous and utterly epic in its delivery. On March 24th they released their debut album The Burden Ov Faith, on Century Media and it’s a KILLER!!! We had to talk to the band and specifically Chase Wilson, the band’s guitarist!

Το The Aggression Sessions είναι η συνέχεια του The Depression Sessions του 2016 και ακολουθεί το ίδιο μίνι άλμπουμ με 6 τραγούδια, όπου κάθε συγκρότημα προσφέρει ένα πρωτότυπο single και μια διασκευή. Για αυτό το session, οι THY ART IS MURDER διασκευάζουν τους Cannibal Corpse και οι FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY τους At The Gates ενώ οι MALEVOLENCE χειρίζονται ένα τραγούδι της Αμερικανίδας τραγουδίστριας Anastacia.

“Πριν καν ολοκληρώσουμε τη δουλειά στο “The Depressions Sessions” ξέραμε ότι είχε σφυρηλατηθεί μια φιλία ζωής μεταξύ των THY ART IS MURDER και των FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY και ότι θα έπρεπε να κάνουμε μια άλλη παραλλαγή του project. Η ιδέα του ‘The Aggression Sessions’ γεννήθηκε σχεδόν αμέσως μετά την ολοκλήρωση της πρώτης, αλλά χρειάστηκαν πολλά χρόνια για να βρούμε τελικά το χρόνο να το ηχογραφήσουμε και να το κυκλοφορήσουμε μέσα στα χαοτικά προγράμματα περιοδειών και μουσικών κυκλοφοριών και των δύο συγκροτημάτων. Θέλαμε να επιστρέψουμε τα πράγματα σε μερικές από τις αγαπημένες μας εμπνεύσεις για τη σύνθεση και εκτέλεση βαριάς και επιθετικής μουσικής αυτή τη φορά, συμπυκνώνοντας τον τόνο του τίτλου του EP. Ελπίζουμε να το απολαύσετε όλοι!

Συμμετέχοντας μαζί μας για τον 2ο γύρο, παρακαλώ καλωσορίστε τους MALEVOLENCE στη σειρά. Πολλή αγάπη στους The Acacia Strain, και τους ευχαριστούμε που είναι μέρος αυτής της σειράς. Τσεκάρετε και το νέο επερχόμενο δίσκο τους!

Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the 6-song mini album The Aggression Sessions featuring THY ART IS MURDER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, and MALEVOLENCE which will be available digitally on April 7th and on CD + Vinyl on July 21st, 2023 via Nuclear Blast.

Today, THY ART IS MURDER releases the second single from the EP entitled, “Until There Is No Longer”.

The Aggression Sessions is the follow-up to 2016’s The Depression Sessions and follows the same 6-song mini album where each band offers an original single and a cover song. For this session, THY ART IS MURDER is covering Cannibal Corpse and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY is covering At The Gates whereas MALEVOLENCE is handling a song by American singer Anastacia.

THY ART IS MURDER and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY make the following joint statement:
“Before we had even completed work on ‘The Depressions Sessions’ we knew a lifelong friendship had been forged between THY ART IS MURDER and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, and that we would have to do another variation of the project. ‘The Aggression Sessions’ concept was born almost immediately following the completion of the first iteration but has taken many years to finally find the time to record and release it amidst the chaotic touring and music release schedules of both bands. We wanted to take things back to some of our favorite inspirations for writing and performing heavy and aggressive music this time, encapsulating the tone of the EP title. We hope everyone enjoys!

Joining us for round 2, please welcome MALEVOLENCE into the series. Much love to The Acacia Strain, and thank you to them for being a part of this lineage. Check out their new forthcoming record as well!

“Είναι πολύ συναρπαστικό που δουλεύουμε πάνω σε μουσική ξανά μετα από την παύση. Το ‘Roots Below‘ προοριζόταν αρχικά για B-side απομεινάρι του ‘Shaped By Fire‘,αλλά ο Phil και ο Josh του έδωσαν νέα ζωή όταν το ολοκλήρωσαν πρόσφατα προσθέτοντας περισσότερα επίπεδα. Ήταν πολύ αναζωογωνιτικό να επιστρέφουμε στη δημιουργική διαδικασία με την ίδια ομάδα συνθετών που γράφει από την ένταξη της στην μπάντα.

Οι στίχοι είναι επηρεασμένοι από κάποιον που γνώρισα πρόσφατα, ο οποίος μοιράστηκε μαζί μου μια τραυματική ιστορία. Ιστορία του θα μπορούσε να έχει καταστρέψει τον καθένα, αλλά από τον αγώνα έρχεται η δύναμη, η εξέλιξη και η διάθεση να είσαι ανοιχτός σε νέες προκλήσεις και αυτό με ενέπνευσε να γράψω.”

As I Lay Dying have dropped a new track titled “Roots Below“, which originated as a b-side from the sessions for their latest album “Shaped By Fire“. Frontman Tim Lambesis commented:

“It’s exciting to be working on music again after some downtime. ‘Roots Below‘ was originally a B-side leftover from when we recorded ‘Shaped By Fire‘, but Phil and Josh really brought new life to it when they recently finished it and added new layers. It’s been refreshing to get back to the creative process with the same team of songwriters being intact that have been writing with me since they joined the band.

The lyrics were influenced by someone I recently met who shared a story of trauma with me, that would have destroyed most people, yet from that struggle came strength, openness, and growth that inspired me.”

Can‘t wait to share it with all of you!” With this caption for the photo of Tatiana in the studio in front of the mic as seen above Eugene Abdukhanov – Bass-guitarist οι Ουκρανοί comments on the progress of the forth studio album of Ukrainian metalcore band Jinjer. Earlier this month the band published a video to let us know that the bass parts are recorded and ready for the new album. Watch the video below.

Το metalcore συγκρότημα από το Brighton με το 9^ο ολοκληρωμένο άλμπουμ του έκλεισε την εβδομάδα με μόλις 550 θέσεις μπροστά από το δεύτερο άλμπουμ σε πωλήσεις που δεν ήταν άλλο από το Nature Always Wins των Maximo Park. Αrchitects claim their first Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart following an exceptionally close race for this week’s top spot which sees an all-new Top 5.

The Brighton metalcore band’s ninth album For Those That Wish To Exist finishes the week just 550 chart sales ahead of their closest competition, Maximo Park and their new record Nature Always Wins (2).

For Architects, it’s not only their first chart-topper, but first Top 10 album too; their previous peak was Number 15 with 2016’s All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us. View Architects’ Official Chart history here.

Celebrating the news, and paying tribute to their late bandmate Tom Searle, singer Sam Carter told OfficialCharts.com, “I cannot begin to tell you how much this means to us.
