Bathed In A Black Sun ο τίτλος του, και θα περιλαμβάνει 4 κομμάτια που έμειναν έξω από την πρώτη δισκογραφική δουλειά του συγκροτήματος που κυκλοφόρησε το 2022, Viscera.

Ο μπασίστας του συγκροτήματος, Chris Casket είπε σχετικά με το EP:

PARADISE LOST guitarist Greg Mackintosh seems to be particularly productive as apart from the re-recording and release of Icon for his 30th birthday, his other musical vehicle, that of STRIGOI, announced the release of a new EP.

Bathed In A Black Sun is its title, and will feature 4 tracks left off the band’s first record released in 2022, Viscera.

The band’s bassist Chris Casket said of the EP:

“We are pleased to finally do this, as ultimately Bathed In A Black Sun as a track is lamentably all the more relevant today than it was when it was written. We also wanted to release this EP as a companion to the album Viscera, so finally all the tracks recorded during that studio session are available for all to ‘enjoy’ the extra cuts of raging spite and cold despair.”

Along with the announcement of the new EP, the band also released the first single for the title track. The Bathed In A Black Sun EP is scheduled for release on November 3.

Το νέο τους single, το οποίο φέρει τον τίτλο Iku-Turso συνεχίζει τόσο το μουσικό όσο και το θεματολογικό χαρακτήρα της τελευταίας τους δουλειάς. Σχετικά με το κομμάτι, ο ιθύνων νους του συγκροτήματος Tuomas Saukkonen ανέφερε τα εξής:

“Φαίνεται ότι σε κάθε concept άλμπουμ που φτιάχνουμε υπάρχει μια ιστορία που μένει πίσω και αξίζει μια συνέχεια του θέματος. Το προηγούμενο μας άλμπουμ “King Of The North” επικεντρώθηκε πλήρως στη φινλανδική μυθολογία και κάναμε διεξοδική δουλειά καλύπτοντας τα πάντα, από τη δημιουργία του σκανδιναβικού βασιλείου μέχρι τους ημίθεους της φινλανδικής φύσης. Αλλά ένα πραγματικά αρχέγονο και κακόβουλο πλάσμα, το θαλάσσιο τέρας που ονομάζεται Iku-Turso, έμεινε πίσω και τώρα επιστρέφουμε για να αφηγηθούμε την ιστορία για το κυνήγι αυτού του τέρατος που πίστευαν ότι ήταν επίσης ο θεός του πολέμου”.

Always creative and productive, the Finnish melodic death metallers WOLFHEART, released a new single in video form while touring for their latest, highly successful album “King Of The North”.

The new single, which is titled Iku-Turso, continues both the musical and thematic character of their latest work. About the track, the band’s mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen said the following:

“Seems like with each concept album we make there is one story that is left behind and deserves a sequel to the theme. Our previous full length “King Of The North” was fully focused on Finnish Mythology and we did thorough job covering everything between creation of the Nordic realm to the demigods of Finnish nature. But one truly primeval and malevolent creature, sea monster called Iku-Turso was left behind and now we are back to tell the story about a hunt of this beast that was also believed to be the god of war”

SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL have released their new video/single titled VIKING. The band says they are in creative mode for the new album and as they comment in their Instagram post “We tried to make it EPIC. We tried to make it HEAVY.

After 11 years of recording absence, CRYPTOPSY return with a new album. The title of this, As Gomorrah Burns and is due out on September 8th via Nuclear Blast Records.

In anticipation of the new release, the band has posted the first single/video clip for the track In Abeyance.

The band’s frontman Matt McGachy commented:

“I’m excited to finally unveil As Gomorrah Burns. It’s an album that we have been crafting for the past five years. A meticulous endeavor that we are proud of. It’s the perfect medley of oldschool CRYPTOPSY with a few modern twists. We’ve leaned heavily into the grooves and let some of the riffs breathe just a little more than we have on the past few releases. I’m really stoked about the new era of CRYPTOPSY.

In Abeyance’ is conceptually about feeling isolated while being submerged in a new environment. The hunt for a sense of belonging while mourning a previous life. Musically, it’s a slap in the face. It’s a banger that appears to be straightforward yet remains ultra complex”.

Το single/video clip ηχογραφήθηκε στα Fascination Street Studios τον περασμένο Φεβρουάριο με τον Jens Bogren φυσικά να αναλαμβάνει την παραγωγή/mix και master.

Τα γραφιστικά όπως και το video έγιναν δια χειρός Costin Chiorean, γνωστό για τις δουλείες του με μπάντας όπως οι GHOST και οι OPETH μεταξύ άλλων.

New single for Danish death metallers IOTUNN. Mistland, as it is titled, is the first sample from their upcoming, currently untitled, second album.

The single/video clip was recorded at Fascination Street Studios last February with Jens Bogren of course handling the production/mix and master.

The artwork as well as the video was done by Costin Chiorean, known for his work with bands like GHOST and OPETH among others.

Το πρώτο δείγμα και video clip μέσα από την νέα του δουλειά έρχεται με το single για το κομμάτι Castaway On The Moon. Την σύνθεση των κομματιών, πέρα από τον ίδιο, υπογράφουν οι Andy C και Jose Rubio,στα τύμπανα και κιθάρα αντίστοιχα, ενώ την παραγωγή ανέλαβε ο Romero με τον Andy C.

Πολυάσχολος ο τραγουδιστής των RAINBOW, LORDS OF BLACK, THE FERRYMEN και ELEGANT WEAPONS, με τον τελευταίων το ντεμπούτο να μετράει μόλις λίγες εβδομάδες κυκλοφορίας.

The talented and omnipresent Ronnie Romero has announced the release of his third solo album entitled Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters and is due out on September 15th via Frontiers Music.

The first sample and video clip within his new work comes with the single for the track Castaway On The Moon. In addition to himself, the tracks are composed by Andy C and Jose Rubio, on drums and guitar respectively, while the production was handled by Romero and Andy C.

Quite busy the singer of RAINBOW, LORDS OF BLACK, THE FERRYMEN and ELEGANT WEAPONS, with the latter’s debut album counting just a few weeks of release.

Μέσα από τον νέο δίσκο, το συγκρότημα δημοσίευσε ένα single/lyric video για το κομμάτι Forever Free. Σχετικά με το single, ο drummer του συγκροτήματος και υιός του Udo, Sven σχολίασε:

“Το Forever Free υποτίθεται ότι θα κάνει τους ανθρώπους να μην πιστεύουν απλώς τα γεγονότα που ακούνε ή τους δείχνουν, για παράδειγμα τα μέσα ενημέρωσης, αλλά να σκέφτονται ατομικά. Φυσικά, δεν εννοούμε ότι κάποιος πρέπει να αμφισβητεί τα πάντα. Το τραγούδι θα εκφράσει απλώς ότι είναι προτιμότερο να δημιουργεί κανείς τις δικές του απόψεις σχετικά με τις συγκρούσεις και άλλα θέματα που υποστηρίζει, ακόμα και όταν είναι λάθος μερικές φορές, παρά να ακολουθεί τυφλά τη μάζα. Είναι ένας μουσικός φόρος τιμής στο προνόμιό μας να ζούμε σε έναν ελεύθερο κόσμο, όπως ευτυχώς μπορούμε”.

The timeless and tireless Udo with his personal band, releases another album in his already existing long career. The title of the new album, Touchdown and is due out August 25th via Atomic Fire Records.

The band has released a single/lyric video from the new album, for the track Forever Free. About the single, the band’s drummer and Udo‘s son Sven commented:

“Forever Free is supposed to make people not simply believe facts they hear or get shown, for example by media, but to think individually. Of course, we don’t mean that one should question everything. The song shall just express that it’s better to create own opinions about conflicts and other topics one stands for, even when they’re wrong sometimes, than to follow the mass blindly. It’s a musical tribute to our privilege of living in a free world as we luckily can”.

Το video αφορά το κομμάτι Dark Descent και δεν αφήνει περιθώρια αμφισβήτησης ως προς την επιστροφή του συγκροτήματος στον γνώριμο ήχο του παρελθόντος τους.

Βαρύ και ενοχλητικό, δούλεψε το δρόμο του σε ένα επιθετικό μπουφέ βάθους και στροβιλιζόμενου σκοταδιού! Σκέφτηκα ότι θα ήταν υπέροχο να συνεργαστούμε και έτσι έβαλα τον Paul να προσθέσει τη στιχουργική του σφραγίδα σε αυτό”.

Chaos Horrific will be the name of CANNIBAL CORPSE‘s new album, and is scheduled to be released on September 22nd. From the new album, the band has released the first single/video for the track Blood Blind.

The band’s drummer, Paul Mazurkiewic said about it:

“Blood Blind is about mass mutilations to reset the human race in a genocide that was embraced by the masses”.

With guitarist, Eric Rutan adding:

“Blood Blind was the first song musically that I wrote for Chaos Horrific. It all started with that funeral march of a first riff floating around in my head and it took off from there. Heavy and disturbing, it worked its way into an aggressive smorgasbord of depth and swirling darkness! I thought it would be great to collaborate so I had Paul add his lyrical stamp to it.”
