Ο Gus Drax είναι ένας από του καλύτερους κιθαρίστες που υπάρχουν αυτή τη στιγμή στο παγκόσμιο μουσικό στερέωμα. Αν με ρωτάτε, θεωρώ πως έχει το natural μουσικό ταλέντο αλλά (όπως θα έλεγε και ο ίδιος νομίζω) αυτό δεν φτάνει για να σε φτάσει εκέι που μπορεί να ποθείς να φτάσεις και να εξελιχθείς ως μουσικός. Ο Gus Drax έχει δουλέψει και εξακολουθεί να δουλεύει πάρα πολύ σκληρά, με αφοσίωση, πειθαρχία, σεβασμό και τεράστια αγάπη για αυτό που κάνει, ώστε να καλλιεργεί και να εξελίσει συνεχώς αυτό το μουσικό του ταλέντο και να φτάσει αυτή τη στιγμή να είναι ένα από του καλύτερους κιθαρίστες παγκοσμίως.

Ξεκίνησε να ασχολείτε με την κιθάρα στα 14 του, κάποια χρόνια αργότερα έγινε μέλος των Biomechanical, το 2009 ένωσε τις δυνάμεις του με τους Black Fate και το 2010 έγινε συνιδρύτης στους πολυαγαπημένους Sunburst. Το 2016 μπήκε στην παρέα των Suicidal Angels, από τους οποίους αποχώρησε στις αρχές του 2025. Το πρώτο προσωπικό album του Gus Drax , In Search of Perfection, κυκλοφόρησε το 2010 και 16 χρόνια μέτα ήρθε επιτέλους η στιγμή που ο Gus μας ανακοινώνει την κυκλοφορία του δεύτερου προσωπικού του album που θα ακούει στο όνομα Theories of Imperfection  και θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 3 Απριλίου 2026 από την Theogonia Records.

Στα τύμπανα καθόλη την διάρκει του Theories of Imperfection θα ακούμε τον μοναδικό George Kollias (Nile, Royal Time Machine). Δηλαδή επεξεργάσου το λίγο: Gus Drax στην κιθάρα και Γιώργος Κόλλιας στα τύμπανα…και φαντάσου τι έχουν να ακούσουν τα αυτάκια σου. Οι εκπλήξεις όμως δεν σταματάνε εκεί αφού ο Andy James (Five Finger Death Punch) θα σολάρει στο Cosmic Shadow, ο John Koutselinis, καταξιωμένος μουσικός και βραβευμένος film score composer, έχει συνεργαστεί στα Sentio Ergo Sum, Nocturnal Waltz και Final Atonement  και ο Λευτέρης Πουλιού με το υπέροχο σαξόφωνο του συμμετέχει στο Ethereal Horizon.

Το πρώτο single και video clip από το Theories of Imperfection  δόθηκε στην δημοσιότητα πριν λίγες ώρες, ακούει στο όνομα Sentio Ergo Sum, ε και το μόνο σίγουρο είναι ότι δεν θα βρεις κανένα imperfection in it. Είναι ένας χείμαρρος μουσικής δεξιοτεχνίας, μελωδικότητας και συναισθήματος με ξεκάθαρο αέρα και άρωμα Gus Drax. Στο μπάσο βρίσκουμε τον Giorgos Charalampidis. Το βίντεο κλιπ είναι δια χειρός Bob Κατσιώνη και Αλέξανδρου Χαριτάκη.

Gus Drax is one of the best guitarists currently on the global music scene. If you ask me, I think he has natural musical talent, but, as I think he himself would say, that’s not enough to get you where you want to be and develop as a musician. Gus Drax has worked and continues to work very hard, with dedication, discipline, respect, and enormous love for what he does, in order to cultivate and continuously develop his musical talent and become one of the best guitarists in the world.

He started playing guitar at the age of 14 and he joined Biomechanical a few years later. In 2009 he joined forces with Black Fate and in 2010 he co-founded our beloved Sunburst. In 2016, he joined Suicidal Angels, with which he parted ways in early 2025. Gus Drax‘s first solo album, In Search of Perfection, was released in 2010 and 16 years later Gus has finally announced the release of his second solo album, Theories of Imperfection, which will be released on April 3rd 2026, by Theogonia Records.

Throughout Theories of Imperfection we will hear the unique George Kollias (Nile, Royal Time Machine) on drums. So, think about it: Gus Drax on guitar and George Kollias on drums… and imagine what your ears are in for. But the surprises don’t stop there as Andy James (Five Finger Death Punch) will be featured and will be shredding on Cosmic Shadow, John Koutselinis, an acclaimed musician and award-winning film score composer has collaborated on Sentio Ergo Sum, Nocturnal Waltz και Final Atonement and Lefteris Pouliou with his wonderful saxophone, participates in Ethereal Horizon.

The first single and video clip from Theories of Imperfection was released a few hours ago. It is called Sentio Ergo Sum and one thing is certain: you will find no imperfection in it. It is a torrent of musical virtuosity, melody, and emotion with a distinct Gus Drax vibe and essence. Giorgos Charalampidis is on the bass and the video clip was directed and produced by Bob Katsionis and Alexander Haritakis.

A teaser that Volbeat have started rehearsals has been uploaded on their Social Media accounts. More specifically, the band’s singer Michael Poulsen says that they have found their first rehearsal and they already have the first new song. There are no vocals yet as he is recovering from the surgery he had in October, as he told us in his interview, but he has already thought about it and as soon as he is completely well they will rehearse it. Πηγή έμπνευσης της Ειρήνης Κετικίδη αποτέλεσε η αληθινή ιστορία κακοποίησης ενός γαϊδάρου από τον ιδιοκτήτη του και αντιδήμαρχο Ζίτσας Ιωαννίνων το 2022, ο οποίος έσυρε το άτυχο ζώο δεμένο στην καρότσα του αγροτικού του με αποτέλεσμα να το τραυματίσει πολύ σοβαρά και τελικά να του γίνει ευθανασία.

Το περιστατικό αυτό την οδήγησε στη σύνθεση του βασικού riff και στη συνέχεια σε όλη την ενορχήστρωση και την κινηματογραφική ατμόσφαιρα του κομματιού. Η Ειρήνη Κετικίδη είναι δεξιοτέχνης κιθαρίστρια και progressive metal συνθέτρια. Είναι γνωστή για την εντυπωσιακή τεχνική κατάρτιση, το  συναισθηματικό παίξιμο, τις συνθέσεις με λυρικό και αφηγηματικό χαρακτήρα και τη δυνατή της σκηνική παρουσία. Με επιρροές μπάντες όπως Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Nevermore, Animals as Leaders και Gojira, αλλά και solo κιθαρίστες όπως ο Steve Vai και ο Guthrie Govan, η μουσική της Ειρήνης οδηγεί και ταξιδεύει τον ακροατή σε μια σκοτεινή, πνευματική εμπειρία.

British heavy metal legends JUDAS PRIEST have released a new single, “Panic Attack”. The track, which can be streamed below, is taken from the band’s upcoming studio album, “Invincible Shield”, which will arrive on March 8, 2024 via Sony Music.

Το single είναι για το κομμάτι Ritual,για το οποίο οι αιθέρια frontwoman Sharon den Adel είπε τα εξής:

PRONG‘s thirteenth studio album, “State Of Emergency”, will arrive on October 6 via Steamhammer/SPV. The official music video for the LP’s third single, “The Descent”, can be seen below.

The track is a perfect blend of that impeccable recipe of punk, metal and thrash that makes up PRONG‘s signature sound, and shows Tommy Victor and the boys are primed and ready to tear some faces off with “State Of Emergency”.

Australia’s extreme metal titans THY ART IS MURDER have revealed turbulent third single “Blood Throne”, taken from the band’s forthcoming album, Godlike, out September 15 via Human Warfare.

“AND SO THEY ROT!!” growls a menacing CJ McMahon as he ushers in “Blood Throne” with a maniacal glint in his eye. From here, Thy Art Is Murder blast open the ninth circle of hell with a potent mix of mayhem and force designed to galvanize us into overthrowing the evil that reigns on the Blood Throne.

Guitarist Andy Marsh offers: “as we started work on Blood Throne we aimed to harness the same visceral energy that drove Death Squad Anthem while pushing our boundaries to craft something unique. Kicking things off with a break beat groove, we wanted to set the tone with a jolt to the system preparing everyone for the chaos ahead. Blood Throne embodies our attempt at creative anthemic power and groove spiraling into a reflection of oppressive organizations and regimes that profit and thrive on the toil and pain of the marginalized. Throughout our career we have confronted these themes head on with the aim of igniting a fire within each listener and inspiring the collective strength to challenge the dominion of those who perpetuate suffering.”

H μπάντα παρουσίασε το μουσικό βίντεο & single “Changing Star”  που είναι το πρώτο επεισόδιο βίντεο και single από το The Beginning, το οποίο έχει προγραμματιστεί να κυκλοφορήσει στις 8 Δεκεμβρίου 2023 μέσω της Eclipse Records με διανομή μέσω της The Orchard. Η παραγωγή, η ηχογράφηση, η μίξη και το mastering του άλμπουμ έγιναν από τον Tommaso Monticelli στο Sonitus Studio στην Crema της Ιταλίας. Η σειρά βίντεο σκηνοθετήθηκε από τους GENUS ORDINIS DEI και γυρίστηκε από τον Steve Saints.

GENUS ORDINIS DEI are back with a new metal music series and full-length concept album entitled The Beginning.

The band unveiled their “Changing Star” music video & single which is the first video episode and single from The Beginning which is scheduled to be released on December 8, 2023 via Eclipse Records with distribution via The Orchard. The album was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Tommaso Monticelli at Sonitus Studio in Crema, Italy. The video series was directed by Genus Ordinis Dei, and filmed by Steve Saints.

The Beginning is the fourth studio album from symphonic death metal band GENUS ORDINIS DEI , which redefines the way we listen to music and process cinematic theater. In simpler terms, the final product is an exceptional twelve-track album and a stunning set of representative videos called “Episodes,” that directly address the way we use our senses. Interspliced in a clever foreshadowing technique, are images of blood pouring over a stone, advancing like the crooked fingers of some skeletal miscreant, and when the Brother character starts singing, we are startled into the recognition that this is not merely some standard high-quality film, but the vibrant offspring we get from a brilliant, well-produced metal album. Symbolically, the parallel is clear. We are watching exquisite savages at the dawn of existence, who are shockingly similar to us in terms of their passion, physicality, and natural tendencies toward glorified violence. More thematically, GENUS ORDINIS DEI shows us quite clearly that brutality is the lifeblood of society, as we still so ironically fool ourselves with carefully crafted social constructs. The Beginning is not just music. It is an experience. A red dawn. An awakening.
 
“Changing Star” is the first episode of The Beginning, which introduces a Brother and a Sister character at the dawn of mankind, navigating a beautiful, brutal wilderness scarred with cannibalism and savagery. Visually gorgeous, the wide shots and slow-motion close-ups of the video component are emotionally stunning, while musically, we are provided the beginning of an epic metal symphony featuring a climactic mix of growl and traditional vocals.

Αφηγούμενο την ιστορία ενός μοναχικού φορτηγατζή του οποίου η μόνη ζωή είναι ο δρόμος, το κομμάτι χτίζεται σε ένα τραχύ ρεφρέν του “They call me ‘White Line Frankenstein!” και ένα σόλο κιθάρας από τον Morello που ο Alice λέει ότι είναι “αρκετά καυτό για να κάψει λάστιχο“.

ALICE COOPER has premiered the next taster of his 29th studio album ‘Road’, the monstrous single ‘White Line Frankenstein’ featuring Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello.

Telling the story of a lone trucker whose only life is the road, the track builds to a rasping chorus of “They call me ‘White Line Frankenstein!’” and a searing guitar solo from Morello that Alice says is “hot enough to burn rubber.”

Commenting on the track, Alice Cooper says: “White Line Frankenstein is a monster that we created. It’s a truck driver who’s been out there a long time. He’s the king of the road. He doesn’t live in a house. He lives in that truck. In the song, this surreal tough guy is driving on white lines for his whole life. So, ‘White Line Frankenstein’ would be his CB handle. It’s monstrous and definitely a stage song.”

Also featuring the Planet Rock playlisted single ‘I’m Alice’, Alice Cooper’s ‘Road’ is released on Friday 25th August 2023 via earMUSIC.

Complementing the album’s theme, the bonus DVD/Blu-ray comes with Alice Cooper’s full live show at Hellfest 2022 and includes all the classics and rarely played gems.

‘Road’ was produced by Alice Cooper’s long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin, and it’s written, composed and recorded with his beloved bandmates Ryan Roxie (guitar), Chuck Garric (bass), Tommy Henrikson (guitar), Glen Sobel (drums), and Nita Strauss (guitar).

The talented and omnipresent Ronnie Romero has announced the release of his third solo album entitled Too Many Lies, Too Many Masters and is due out on September 15th via Frontiers Music.

The first sample and video clip within his new work comes with the single for the track Castaway On The Moon. In addition to himself, the tracks are composed by Andy C and Jose Rubio, on drums and guitar respectively, while the production was handled by Romero and Andy C.

Quite busy the singer of RAINBOW, LORDS OF BLACK, THE FERRYMEN and ELEGANT WEAPONS, with the latter’s debut album counting just a few weeks of release.
