23 χρόνια πριν κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ των Amon Amarth Once Sent From The Golden Hall από τη Metal Blade Records!
Η μπάντα που αυτή τη στιγμή θεωρείται μια από τις μεγαλύτερες στο είδος της και βρίσκεται στα κορυφαία ονόματα του billing των μεγαλύτερων φεστιβάλ σε όλο τον κόσμο, ξεκίνησε την δισκογραφική της πορεία με ένα άλμπουμ αρκετά τραχύ στον ήχο του αλλά συμπαγή και εντυπωσιακό. Τόσο που τους έδωσε την ώθηση να ξεχωρίσουν από τότε. Μάλιστα στο ντεμπούτο τους βρίσκεται πίσω από τα drums ο Martin Lopez που αποχώρησε για να ενταχθεί στους Opeth και βρίσκεται τώρα στους SOEN. O ήχος των Σουηδών μελωδικών metallers σήμερα είναι πολύ πιο γυαλισμένος και εμπορικός αλλά όλοι όσοι τους γνωρίσαμε από το πρώτο άλμπουμ έχουμε μια ιδιαίτερη θέση στην καρδιά μας για αυτό το ακατέργαστο διαμάντι.

23 years ago, on February 10th, Amon Amarth release their debut album Once Sent From The Golden Hall, on Metal Blade Records.
One of the bands that is today among the best selling in the world and shines on the top of the billing on most metal festivals around the world the begun its discographic journey with an album that sounds massive, rough yet melodic, impressive and enchanting. Impressive and enchanting enough to create a hype that 23 years later still burns. Their debut album is the only one that features Martin Lopez behind the drumkit who left the band to join Opeth and is now a member of SOEN. The sound of the melodic deathsters today is much more well-rounded and polished but for those of us who were introduced to the band since their debut there’s a special place in our heart for this diamond in the rough.
