Η εμφάνιση που πραγματοποίησαν οι FIREWIND στο Principal Club Theater για τα 20 χρόνια της καριέρας τους, αποτυπώθηκε και αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει την 1η Σεπτεμβρίου σε blu-ray και διπλό cd από την AFM Records, υπό τον τίτλο Still Raging: Live At Principal Club Theater.
Σχετικά με αυτή την ξεχωριστή κυκλοφορία, ο κιθαρίστας και κινητήριος δύναμη του συγκροτήματος Gus G, σχολίασε:
“Είναι δύσκολο να πιστέψει κανείς ότι μια μπάντα όπως οι FIREWIND υπάρχει εδώ και 2 δεκαετίες. Το 2022 είχαμε σχεδιάσει μόνο μια επανέκδοση του ντεμπούτο άλμπουμ μας, αλλά με την πανδημία να υποχωρεί σιγά σιγά, ήμασταν αρκετά τυχεροί ώστε να αρχίσουμε να κάνουμε ξανά συναυλίες στην Αμερική και την Ευρώπη. Το φθινόπωρο του 2022 παίξαμε 2 headline shows στην πατρίδα μας, την Ελλάδα, για να γιορτάσουμε την 20η επέτειο μας.
Πριν από τις ελληνικές συναυλίες, οι φίλοι μου από το κινηματογραφικό συνεργείο OTSE με ρώτησαν για την κινηματογράφηση της συναυλίας της γενέτειράς μας στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Κατά κάποιο τρόπο, τα άστρα ευθυγραμμίστηκαν, καθώς επιστρέψαμε στον ίδιο χώρο (Principal Club Theater), με το ίδιο ακριβώς συνεργείο που γύρισε το DVD μας το 2008 (Live Premonition).
Με αυτή την ευκαιρία μπροστά μας, άρχισα να σκέφτομαι έναν ωραίο τρόπο για να το βάλουμε στα σπίτια των αγαπημένων μας οπαδών, ως ένα ιδιαίτερο ευχαριστώ για την υποστήριξη που μας έχετε δείξει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια. Μαζί με την AFM Records, σας παρουσιάζουμε ένα ειδικό πακέτο BluRay + 2CD.
Έτσι ναι…. FIREWIND Still Raging, 20 χρόνια μετά και όλα αυτά χάρη σε ΕΣΑΣ!
Ενώ αυτή τη στιγμή δουλεύουμε σκληρά πάνω σε νέα μουσική, ελπίζουμε ότι αυτή η αναμνηστική Live κυκλοφορία θα σας κρατήσει καλή συντροφιά, μέχρι να έρθουν οι νέοι metal ύμνοι μας”.
Υπενθυμίζουμε ότι, δύο μέρες μετά την κυκλοφορία του νέους τους live δίσκου, οι FIREWIND μαζί με τους Timo Tolkki’s STRATO και τις NERVOSA, θα εμφανιστούν στο Gimme Shelter Open Air Festival στην Τεχνόπολη Αθηνών.

FIREWIND‘s performance at the Principal Club Theater for the 20th anniversary of their career was captured and is expected to be released on September 1st on blu-ray and double CD from AFM Records, under the title Still Raging: Live At Principal Club Theater.
On this special release, guitarist and driving force behind the band Gus G, commented:
“It’s hard to believe that a band like FIREWIND has been around for 2 decades. In 2022 we had only planned a re-issue of our debut album, but with the pandemic slowly winding down, we were fortunate enough to start doing shows in America and Europe again. Come Fall of 2022 we played 2 headline shows in our homeland, Greece to celebrate our 20th anniversary.
Prior to the Greek shows, my friends from OTSE film crew asked me about filming our hometown gig in Thessaloniki. In a way, the stars aligned, as we returned to the same venue (Principal Club Theater), with the exact same crew that filmed our DVD back in 2008 (Live Premonition anyone?).
With this opportunity in front of us, I started thinking about a cool way to put this onto our beloved fans homes as a special thank you for the support you’ve shown us over the years. Together with AFM Records, we bring you a special BluRay + 2CD package.
So yeah…. FIREWIND Still Raging, 20 years later and it’s all thanks to YOU!
