Λίγες εβδομάδες μας χωρίζουν από την εμφάνιση των HELLOWEEN στο Release Athens Festival και το συγκρότημα προμηνύεται ακόμα πιο ορεξάτο μίας και στις 20 Μαΐου, εντάχθηκε στο Metal Hall Of Fame.
Η διεξαγωγή έγινε στο Terminal 5 στην Νέα Υόρκη μπροστά σε χιλιάδες οπαδούς, με την Alissa White-Gluz των ARCH ENEMY να κάνει την απονομή.
Ο ιδρυτής του θεσμού, Pat Gesualdo είπε για το συγκρότημα:
“Οι HELLOWEEN βοήθησαν στην καθιέρωση των απαρχών του power metal. Είμαστε υπερήφανοι που οι HELLOWEEN εκπροσωπούν το είδος και τους οπαδούς του σε όλο τον κόσμο και που η Alissa White-Gluz συμμετέχει επίσης στην εισαγωγή τους”.
Παράλληλα, ο Michael Weikath πρόσθεσε:
“Είναι πραγματικά τιμή μου να εισέρχομαι στο Metal Hall Of Fame! Το γεγονός ότι βρισκόμαστε δίπλα σε μερικές από τις μεγαλύτερες μπάντες του rock και του metal μας κάνει πολύ περήφανους και ανταμείβει τη δουλειά μας ως ‘The Ambassadors of Power & Melodic Metal’ για τις τελευταίες τέσσερις δεκαετίες”.
Οι HELLOWEEN έχουν κυκλοφορήσει 16 studio album καθώς και 3 live albums στην μακρόχρονη πορεία τους. Τους περιμένουμε φυσικά στις 17 Ιουνίου στην Πλατεία Νερού.

A few weeks are separating us from HELLOWEEN‘s appearance at Release Athens Festival and the band is even more excited as on May 20th, they were inducted into the Metal Hall Of Fame.
The induction took place at Terminal 5 in New York City in front of thousands of fans, with ARCH ENEMY‘s Alissa White-Gluz performing the induction.
Founder of the institution, Pat Gesualdo said of the band:
“HELLOWEEN have helped establish the origins of the power metal genre. We are proud to have HELLOWEEN represent the genre and it’s fans throughout the world, and to have Alissa White–Gluz join us in the induction as well”.
Meanwhile, Michael Weikath added:
“It’s truly an honor to be inducted into the Metal Hall Of Fame! Being listed next to some of the biggest bands in rock and metal makes us very proud and is rewarding our work as ‘The Ambassadors of Power & Melodic Metal’ for the last four decades”.
HELLOWEEN have released 16 studio albums and 3 live albums in their long career. We are of course waiting for them on June 17th at Release Athens Festival.
