Εδώ έχουμε το πρώτο δείγμα από Mastodon για το 2021! Η μπάντα έδωσε διαθέσιμο για streaming το καινούργιο της single “Forged By Neron”, που θα περιλαμβάνεται στη νέα σειρά κόμικς της DC, Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack.
To τραγούδι έχει ξεκάθαρη rock δομή με τεράστια chorus, crunchy riffs και τρίλεπτη διάρκεια, κάτι που απαιτεί να πατάμε το repeat ξανά και ξανά. Για όσους δεν είναι σχετικοί με τη σειρά κόμικς της DC, ο Neron είναι ένας δαίμονας που εμφανίζεται συχνά πυκνά στις ιστορίες της.
Ο drummer και τραγουδιστής των Mastodon, Brann Dailor, μας λέει σχετικά: «Είμαστε ενθουσιασμένοι και μας τιμά να αποτελούμε μέρος του Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack! Είμαστε όλοι οπαδοί της DC Comics και ειδικότερα του κόσμου του Batman από μικρά παιδιά, έτσι σημαίνει πολλά για εμάς το να μπορούμε να προσθέσουμε κάτι σε αυτόν τον «κόσμο».
Το Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack θα κυκλοφορήσει ψηφιακά στις 18/6 και σε φυσική μορφή στις 16/7. Το Soundtrack θα περιλαμβάνει συμμετοχές από μπάντες σαν τους Carach Angren, Chelsea Wolfe και Greg Puciato.

Here it is, our first taste of new Mastodon in 2021! The band is now streaming their new single “Forged By Neron” off the upcoming DC Comics series Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack.
The song is a straightforward rock track with a huge chorus, crunchy riffs, and a short runtime that pretty much demands the repeat button be pushed. For those unfamiliar, Neron is a demon that appears in a handful of DC Comics stories.
“We are super excited and honored to be part of the Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack! We’ve all been fans of DC Comics and the Batman universe since we were kids, so it really means a lot for us to be able to add something to that world,” said Mastodon drummer and vocalist Brann Dailor.
Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack is out June 18 digitally and July 16 physically. The soundtrack is the accompaniment to the DC Comics Dark Nights: Death Metal comic series, featuring contributions from bands like Chelsea Wolfe, Carach Angren, and Greg Puciato.
As for more Mastodon, they’re planning on releasing a new album this fall.
